Default A safe investment?

Hey, I'm just trying to find the best investment that is the safest. Right now between school and work I have NO time for the market. So I've just been banking my money. Right now my yield is semi high at 3.5%, but even at that I'm beating inflation by what, 1%-1.5 at the most? So right now I'm just looking for a place to store my loot till I can get back into the game. I've looked at a few bonds, and it seems places like McDonald's and what not have a somewhat higher rate. Yet they are more risky. If interest rate go back up to 5-5.5% I'll probably lock into a CD or something, but until then, any opinions?

If he does you owe TradersBASE (a.k.a. Me) 50%.

I don't have any suggestions Mook...maybe the other board would be better to ask since they have a bigger group that will see this request. That's sad to say but most everyone here is more on the daytrading futures tip it seems.

how long are you looking to hold? perhaps you can look into dividend paying ETF's since you don't have time to follow your stock picks

haha yeah true, I've tried to get back into stocks, but honestly they don't interest me near as much as futures do....so when I do get back into it, it will be futures, I just don't have the time to dedicate to it right now.

Probably about 6 months, maybe a year, it really all depends on the yield.
