Default What's better, TRIN or VIX?


Given my screen time with both I have to say VIX takes the cake by far IMO. You tell me based on the above screen shot.

VIX in the above example shows a trend, TRIN just shows chop. I've found this to be the case over and over. Keep in mind they both are inverse relationships to the market so if they are up the market should be down and vice versa.

I still use TRIN to try and see if we closed outside the .60-2.0 range and if we did a reversal is a high probability setup.

That's my take, I'd love to see your charts and how you all use these indicators and which you prefer.

I won't use either one to enter a trade but i will use the TRIN once in a trade, It will give me an idea if i can't expect a runner or if there is no juice in the move.
